Tell us about the story and inspiration behind your new single, “Heartbroken Era’ ?
“Heartbroken Era” is a truly intimate and personal story for me. The inspiration behind it comes from a significant chapter in my life – meeting someone who seemed extraordinary but ultimately became a painful yet profound life lesson. I poured everything into that relationship, often putting them first and losing myself in the process. When it ended, I was left with nothing but painful memories and heartbreak. This song is more than just a closure. It symbolizes the end of a year marked by heartache and the beginning of transformation. It captures the bittersweet journey of letting go, finding strength, and rediscovering myself after love lost. The release date of the song marked the exact one year anniversary of the relationship.
The production is warm and pristine, who did you work with to achieve this ?
I was really privileged to collaborate with an incredible team on “Heartbroken Era”. Howard Fitzpatrick, Ashley Madison, Josh Newman and Tom Kruger played a huge role in bringing this song to life, making it a true breakthrough for me. The track was shaped by world-class composers and producers known for their work for major artists like Dua Lipa, Sabrina Carpenter and Shawn Mendes, and such record labels as Universal and Island Records. Their creative mastery helped transform the song into a powerful sonic experience, blending vibrant beats with poetic storytelling to inspire and uplift.
What was the most challenging part of writing and recording this song?
The most challenging part was facing the painful reality that there was no turning back. I was writing this song in the aftermath of a love story that had come to an end, knowing I had to find the strength, power and motivation within myself to move forward. It felt like a reconciliation with all the past heartbreaks in my life – understanding the patterns I had carried over in relationships and finally making the conscious decision to break free. This song wasn’t just about closure, it was about ending an era of allowing myself to be heartbroken and stepping into a new chapter of self-empowerment.
How has your personal journey influenced the storytelling in your music?
My personal life is at the heart of my music. Every experience – especially the highs and lows of love, loss and self-discovery – shape the way I write and create music. „Heartbroken Era” is a perfect example of this, as it reflects not just one heartbreak but a deeper realization of patterns in my relationships and the decision to break free from them. „Rose of Venus” is about understanding that love plays out a natural cycle of being closer and more distant with your partner. „Alchemic Love” is about realizing that ultimately it is only in your hands whether you see things as obstacles or opportunities in your life. My music is a way for me to process emotions, make sense of my experiences and turn them into something meaningful. I want my songs to be more than just entertaining beats – I want them to be relatable stories that resonate, heal and empower.
