How long have you been waiting for a killer tune to just listen to on repeat? I know that for me, it’s been a while. All through quarantine, I’ve been scouring the Internet in search for good  new artists. See, I like seeking out lesser known artists, because I know that’s where the next big hit’s gonna come from. Not from the over-saturated “big names” we already know.

And in my search, I came across one particular artist, who, I can safely say, is among the next big stars of our generation. Douglas Smith, better known by his stage name D.D. Oreyo, is a compelling new rapper out of Lexington, Kentucky.

His sound has a unique dimension to it that skillfully combines elements of the golden age of rap (think 80s and 90s rap scene), but also takes aspects of the modern world, and weaves them through, creating a highly enviable sound that will no doubt appeal to the music listeners of today.

D.D. Oreyo is a rapper for the new world. He’s ushering in a new golden age of rap, something you can clearly see in his latest hit single, “Take You to The Cleaners”. At its core, “Take You to The Cleaners” is a playful summer heat that you’ll love to dance to on the beach at night, or hear in the clubs when you’re partying with your crew.

With ferocious drums and a catchy beat, “Take You to The Cleaners” is your next obsession, I guarantee it. How do I know? Why, I’ve had it stuck in my head for the past couple of weeks.

And sure, there hasn’t been a lot of clubbing going on lately, because of the whole pandemic thing, but that doesn’t make it any less of a good tune. In fact, that’s one of the things I like most about D.D. Oreyo’s brand new hit is that it’s a versatile song. It can go well in the club, sure, but it also goes well outside it. You can enjoy it just about anywhere. Listen to it with your friends, or alone. While driving or when at home. At a party or while walking the dog.

It’s the sort of rare thoroughly good tune that makes just about any situation better.
